SkinPen works by creating controlled micro-channels in the skin. This will stimulate the body’s natural wound healing response to help regenerate the skins surface as well as stimulating the production of collagen.   • Will it work on deeper set wrinkles or scars?

    The handheld device can be adjusted to work at different depths, depending on the area and condition to be treated. The shallow depth works on the outermost layers of the skin and can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, and small scars. Medium depth penetrates a little deeper to target stretch marks, as well as scars and wrinkles. A deeper depth acts on damaged tissue at the lower level of the skin structure. Deeper acne scars and scars that develop during surgery or trauma may improve, along with more prominent wrinkles and rough skin texture.

  • Will it hurt?

    Microneedling can be a little uncomfortable as it relies upon a process of causing trauma to the skin to encourage a wound healing response. Microneedling is rarely ‘painful’ although we can apply numbing cream, if required.
