CONDITION

EXCESSIVE SWEATING

As we age we naturally lose collagen and elastin in the skin. These proteins are responsible for the skin retaining its youthful volume and elasticity and contributes to a number of facial ageing concerns such as; wrinkles, gaunt cheeks, facial volume loss, sagging skin and jowls.

Jowls occur due to the skin no longer being able to adequately support the weight of facial tissue and subcutaneous fat leaving us with a sad, droopy appearance. Weight loss can also contribute to an aged look, as over time the skin has become stretched and can no longer effectively return to its original taut state. A further consideration is that in our older years, our bones begin to shrink and the facial structure can become compromised.

There are options to help restore facial ageing including non surgical dermal fillers (also known as a liquid facelift) but this will require continual maintenance and may not give you the desired result long term. Face lift surgery is one of the most popular solutions here at REAL, and is a fantastic long term solution.
