CONDITION

ASYMMETRIC BREASTS

Some degree of breast asymmetry is perfectly normal. In fact, it is extremely rare for natural breasts to be perfectly symmetrical. The degree of asymmetry can be anything from a slight imbalance to the full development of one breast and almost no development of the other.

By the time a woman reaches her late teens, if significant breast asymmetry is present then it is unlikely that the breasts will balance out without intervention. Asymmetric breasts can cause other concerns beyond physical, including self consciousness, embarrassment and social or intimacy issues. Treatment of asymmetric breasts will depend on the severity of the imbalance, and may involve one or two implants of differing sizes to give a more aesthetically balanced appearance to the breasts.

Even though asymmetric breasts may be becoming apparent in a woman’s mid to late teens, we would always recommend that one should wait until the breast is fully developed before considering a surgical solution.

Here at The REAL Clinic, our team of expert breast surgeons have compassion and understanding as well as the surgical skill to help you transform your asymmetric breasts.
