INTRODUCTION
At The REAL Clinic, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all our business activities. We recognise the importance of preventing modern slavery and human trafficking, and are dedicated to ensuring that our operations and supply chains are free from such practices.
OUR STRUCTURE, OPERATIONS AND SUPPLY CHAIN
The REAL Clinic operates as a private healthcare provider offering a range of medical services. Our supply chain includes suppliers of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, office supplies, and other goods and services necessary for our operations. We are committed to working with suppliers who share our values and adhere to ethical business practices.
RISKS AND MITIGATING ACTIONS
We have conducted a thorough assessment of our operations and supply chains to identify potential risks of modern slavery. While we have not identified any instances of modern slavery, we are committed to taking proactive measures to mitigate any such risks including:
- Supplier due diligence: implementing a robust supplier selection process that includes assessing potential suppliers' commitment to ethical practices and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Training and awareness: providing training to our staff to raise awareness about modern slavery and human trafficking, and to ensure they are equipped to identify and report any concerns
- Monitoring and auditing: regularly monitoring the supply chains to ensure compliance with our ethical standards and to identify any areas for improvement
RAISING AN ISSUE THROUGH OUR GRIEVANCE MECHANISMS
We encourage all employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to report any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices. Reports can be made through our established grievance mechanisms, which ensure that all concerns are taken seriously and addressed promptly and confidentially.
MEASURING EFFECTIVENESS
To assess the effectiveness of our actions in combating modern slavery, we will:
- Review and update policies: regularly reviewing and updating our policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and aligned with best practices
- Feedback mechanisms: gathering feedback from employees, suppliers and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement
COLLABORATION
We recognise that combating modern slavery requires a collaborative approach. In view of this, we are committed to working with our suppliers, industry partners and other stakeholders to share knowledge, resources and best practices to effectively address and prevent modern slavery.
