PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy harnesses the regenerative potential of your own blood. A small sample is drawn, then spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets — which are rich in growth factors that stimulate tissue repair and collagen synthesis. What it treats:

What to expect: A blood draw takes just a few minutes. Preparation of the PRP takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Treatment itself takes 30–45 minutes. Mild redness, swelling or bruising at injection sites can occur and typically resolves within 24–72 hours.


Results: PRP produces gradual improvement over 4–8 weeks, as growth factors stimulate the body's natural repair processes. A course of 3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, is typically recommended, followed by annual maintenance. For hair loss, results can be particularly significant after a course of treatment.


Good to know: Because PRP uses your own biological material, the risk of allergic reaction is extremely low. It is one of the safest, most natural treatment options available. PRP can be combined powerfully with microneedling, laser, and polynucleotides for a comprehensive regenerative protocol.

  • Does cheek fillers hurt?

    Profhilo may produce some minor discomfort, which can easily be reduced with the application of a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure.

  • How different will I look following cheek fillers?

    We will discuss your desired outcome at your pre-treatment consultation. Depending on the extent of treatment required, the results can be subtle or more dramatic (in the case that a non-surgical facelift is desirable), but we don’t aim to change the way look, so you will still look just like you, only refreshed!
